1. Provides the group organizations with independent legal support involving legal research and legal advice in all kind of legal matters of medium complex up to complex nature or risk, including but not limited to document and contract drafting, negotiation with external parties and supervision of external legal advisors providing support in matters requiring external specialist support. 2. Responsible for regional legal activities such as Litigation, IP, License, Contracts, Regional Compliance, Tax (Legal), Governance Breach, Company Secretary/JVs/New Company formation, and IP. 3. Key support to Units/COOs including filling regional Statutory returns, Handling JV/BOD meetings and IP. 4. Handles most matters independently and assumes the full responsibility in relation to at least middle management in relevant parts of the business organization. 5. Provides internal legal training to the organization and is engaged in development of legal tools and templates and communication material. 6. Other activities: Adherence and update of company law.
1. LLB and LLM from reputable Chinese and overseas law schools. 2. Qualified to practice in China with foreign practice certificate highly preferred. 3. 8 years or above of experience in practicing corporate and commercial laws at multinational corporations, holding legal counsel position. 4. Advanced experience and knowledge in the legal areas of contracts, commercial, intellectual properties, litigation and general business transactions as well as working knowledge in purchasing, financing and human resource. 5. Native Chinese speaker and fluent in English. Excellent legal writing skills in both English and Chinese. Comfortable in negotiation and presentation in both languages.
