Define and Optimize commodity strategy, Lead negotiation program, Drive supply base transformation (eg. Concentration; Reduction; COS; etc.). All these responsibilities need to be taken from strategic point of view, but landing at operational plant level, roll out to all the clusters across China region. Responsible for the update of the T2/T3 commodity strategy, lead the commodity managers in China to ensure the commodity strategies are fully updated in line with the latest business requirement and market trend, as well as fully deploy at the operational level. • Lead and coach the commodity managers, professionalize the commodity team and process • Update and Optimize the commodity strategy, in line with the business requirement and industry trend • Lead the negotiation process for key commodities / suppliers • Drive the transformational program (supplybase consolidation; COS; concentration; should cost deployment) within China, make close link with Global Purchasing team. • Drive supplier development program with SQLD team • Work closely with global category management, contribute to commodity strategy formation, and deploy to China. As a senior member of the China Purchasing Team, this position is expected to provide a leadership role to the China Purchasing Team in the areas of strategy, continuous improvement, coaching (possibly in a mentoring capacity) to benefit the team in terms of strategic view, professional step up.
Master degree from commercial or technical university; Desirable: MBA is a plus Relevant working experience in Purchasing; in Multi-National company; Desirable: Industrial experience is a plus Understand the manufacturing process and link with business International matrix organization Understand products with different lifecycle Know all the commodities (plastic; metal; PCBA; packaging; etc.) English essential; Strong cross-cultural communication skills, both oral and written, ability to communicate with all levels of the organization
