- Manage the development of radar application projects in China. Provides engineering leadership on projects from initial concept through production.
- Responsible for the technical, cost, timing, and quality of product development programs with COEMs, Global OEMs in China and Korean OEMs
- Build and develop a radar application engineering team in China to support the market growth.
- Manage all radar applications in China with support from functional team, hardware, software and testing.
- Work closely with perception and function algorithm team to improve the radar ADAS/AD function performance
- Develop data collection, fleet tests and other validation strategies together with validation to achieve radar maturity.
- Develop local radar integration and testing capabilities including EM simulation, integration test, measurement and anechoic chamber lab facilities.
- Prepare technical proposals to support RFQs and promote radar technologies to customers
- Conduct design reviews and program reviews with customer on regulator basis.
- Develop product specifications to meet customer requirements.
- Review and approve the engineering release package and product design changes.
- Oversee radar programs execution process to meet timing, budget, technical performance, and product quality requirements.
- Resolves technical and design quality issues with customer and manufacturing plants.
- Mentor and coach engineering personnel to become sufficient and efficient in radar engineering
- Perform personnel administrative functions such as interviewing, evaluations, and professional development plan
- Works with US & EU Engineering teams, Program Managers, Quality and Production Entities in the US, EU & China.

- Excellent knowledge in automotive radar product applications to fit for AD/ADAS function, such as tracker, track selection and tracking to support AEB, ACC, Freespace and static environment model etc..
- Good understanding of RF measurement with target simulator to assess radar front end performance.
- Good knowledge on RF modulation, including FMCW and BPSK, MIMO, MUSIC architecture, digital bean forming, doppler and micro-doppler effect.
- Good knowledge on FFT transformation and signal processing.
- Good understanding of automotive electronic and/or electromechanical products in the customer domain.
- Ability to lead a product development team and direct the activities of support departments.
- Ability to provide effective performance and developmental feedback, establish goals and resolve personnel issues.
- Good oral and technical writing communication skills in English and Chinese, German preferred.
- Must be able to work in a highly demanding global team environment.
- Experience in development of radar products is a must.
- Must have proven management experience in Electronics Product Development – Preferably Automotive Electronics.
- Minimum 5 years managerial experience and total 10 - 15 years of work experience
- Master’s degree or above in Electromagnetic Engineering or equivalent, PhD preferred
