Basic Qualifications
- Strong academic and technical background in electrical engineering. At minimum, a Bachelor’s in EE is required, Master’s is preferred
- 10+ years’ experience designing in rack-scale server, PCIe Retimer with a high speed interface
- 5+ years’ experience managing a team of server system applications engineers
- Ability to dig deeply into technical challenges and use cases
- Professional attitude with the ability to prioritize a dynamic list of multiple tasks, plan and prepare for customer meetings in advance, and work with minimal guidance and supervision
- Entrepreneurial, open-minded behavior and can-do attitude, think and act with the customer in mind. Team work spirit, self-motivated, less-supervision
- Deep experience driving subsystem and IaaS on customer requirements and managing product exploration
- Good English writing and reading skills
Required Experience
- Lead customer-facing design-in activities, including schematic and layout reviews, to ensure streamline design, test and validation of AI server into customer platforms
- Collaborated with customers to address design challenges, including optimizing power delivery planes and thermal management for the increased heat and power demand of high-density PCIe 5.0 systems
- Provide hands-on support for customer issue resolution, performing on-site debugging and troubleshooting to resolve signal integrity issues and improve system stability
- Technical ownership of issue resolution: Driving and directing internal teams, and driving communication to customers through FAE and sales teams
- Strong working knowledge of a high speed interface at a physical layer level, associated standards, and debug, most recent experience with PCIe switch and retimer, CXL memory, RDIMM, MCRDIMM preferred
- Technical writing skills to generate clear, precise documentation including articles, whitepapers, application notes and similar guides for internal and customer-facing audiences
Preferred Experience
- Triaging complex customer reported issues which require taking into account multiple layers of conditions; for instance, silicon, firmware, hardware board design, and system environment
- Development/support for PCIe or Ethernet Switch or PCIe Retimer, CXL products
- Firsthand experience with lab equipment such as protocol analyzers/exercisers, high-speed oscilloscopes, or BERTs
- Comfort working with software/firmware associated with semiconductor products, such as; Firmware development with C-language, scripting with Python or other equivalent programming languages
- Understanding of datacenter systems like Servers, JBOGs/JBODs/JBOMs, Networking switches/routers/interconnects
- Most recent experience as an Architecture Specialist/Technical Marketing with experience delivering interconnected solutions, understanding of standards, collaborative, and a desire to accomplish challenging tasks
- Lead customer-facing design-in activities of Nvidia HGX platform into customer platforms
- Technical writing skills to generate clear, precise documentation including articles, whitepapers, application notes and similar guides for internal and customer-facing audiences
- Create and maintain high quality architectural specifications. Influence the shaping of future products by significantly contributing to the architecture used across design families
- Experience in product integration with BIOS, OS kernel, and BMCs
- Experience with benchmarking and performance optimization
- Experience driving subsystem and IaaS on customer requirements and managing product exploration
- Collaborated with customers to address rack-scale server system design challenges, including design-in activities, to ensure streamline design, test and validation into customer AI server platforms
